Purpose

The Purpose of the Hispanic Round Table is to form communication, and dialogue that includes Hispanic organizations, neighborhood associations, agencies, and all committed to the advocacy behind the pressing issues impacting Latinos living in Lubbock and the South Plains communities.

 

All are invited to join monthly for a round table discussion to share news, events, and updates related to your organization, project or event, or local issues impacting the Hispanic community. This is a non-partisan group and does not exclude input.

 

Mission

The Mission of the Hispanic Round Table is to strengthen the Latino community through partnerships, education, community building and cultural representation.

 

Goals

Representatives from the aforementioned organizations and groups of the Latino community will:

1) Have greater access to each other.

2) Know and have greater access to community resources and services

3) Have improved communications with the community at large.

4) Have links to communities of color.

 

Community Involvement

The Hispanic Round Table welcomes all who desire to assist in the strengthening of the Latino community.

 

The Hispanic Round Table is a local, civic organization comprised of professionals who meet for the purpose of supporting individuals, organizations, agencies, and programs that are serving the Hispanic community. A gathering of professionals, that meet once a month, as well as connect to Spanish speaking populations of Lubbock and vicinity. These gatherings provide an opportunity to exchange information, share resources, address current needs and develop ongoing professional relationships.
