Join the 10th Annual Adelante Awards to be held in Lubbock, Texas, in 2026! This event is designed to recognize Hispanic men in the community who have gone above and beyond to serve the Lubbock community.
Adelante Award Banquet Date: Friday, May 1, 2026, 6 p.m.
2026 Lifetime Achievement ~ Sonny Garza, Professional/Corporate
This recipient is selected by the LHF Board of Directors & the Adelante Awards Committee. Sonny has served as a Senior Vice President/Commercial Lender at City Bank for the last 22 years.
For nearly four decades, Sonny has helped individuals in Lubbock and across the South Plains secure funding for their home, business, and other commercial needs.
Before joining City Bank, Sonny worked for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and another prominent Texas bank.

The Adelante Awards recognition program is now accepting nominations from men in the Lubbock and surrounding community, who excel in their careers and volunteer efforts.
Individuals will be selected in the following categories: Education, Business Owner/Entrepreneur, Professional, First Responder/Military/Veteran, Civic/Volunteer, Media, Up & Comer/ Young Adult, and Youth.
Community members can submit a nomination for an individual in the respective category, and an independent, anonymous panel of judges will determine the recipients.
