March begins at N. University and César E. Chávez Drive in Lubbock, Texas, to Cavazos Middle School parking lot, 210 N. University Ave. (Shuttle service will begin at 12:30 p.m. from Cavazos Middle School (Drop spot for cars), to Canyon Lakes/Buddy Holly Recreational Area (Starting point of the march), the march will end at Cavazos Middle School. 2018 Theme: "Stand Up for Dreamers"
Los Hermanos Familia is proud to observe the celebration of children, families, and reading that culminates yearly on April 30. The celebration emphasizes the importance of literacy for children of all linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
Recognize and respect the culture, heritage and language as powerful tools for strengthening families and communities.
Los Hermanos Familia inaugurated the Adelante Awards Recognition Program in 2015 to showcase and honor Hispanic men in the Lubbock community who excel in their careers and volunteer efforts. LHF received 40 nominations, honored 13 men and a youth.
Los Hermanos Familia welcomed about 110 floats and participants (triple since 2014), and drew a crowd of almost 7,000 on historic Broadway! This promotes cultural awareness, art, and engages the community.
The 8th Annual Cinco de Mayo Parade of Lubbock will be held Saturday, May 2, 2020. The 2020 theme is: "!Flores y colores! Flowers & Colors!"
The 2020 12th Annual event will be even more exciting.
The event will be held on a Saturday, August 8, 2020, and from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The first Lubbock Veteran’s Day Parade was first held in Lubbock, Texas in 2015.
The Veteran’s Day Parade is an event designed to pay tribute to ALL veterans and all that have served in Lubbock. We appeal to families and bring the community and region together. Please consider joining us at our next parade!
The 5th Annual Veteran's Parade will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2020, Line up at between 8 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. The parade starts at 10 a.m. Theme to be announced in 2020.

This free event is for veterans and ONE guest. All attendees must be over the age of 21.

Los Hermanos Familia is committed to literacy. That said, to assure that all students have access to reading material, a partnership between Latino Lubbock Magazine, Los Hermanos Familia and MyOn offer students K -12 access to a FREE DIGITAL LIBRARY! All you gotta do is sign-up.
The goal is to help students sustain and even improve their reading skills using daily technology like tablets, PCs, cellphones, etc.
The Mini Pinewood Derby's 2020 is now being planned. The objective of this project falls in line with part of LHF’s mission of promoting family engagement and encouraging awareness about social issues like STEM. We combine building mini derby cars, engineering, STEM awareness and how college is necessary to obtain a STEM career. All that in one event, and, IT'S FUN!

LHF recognizes that there are numerous benefits that can be realized through outdoor fitness equipment including physical health, mental health, social function, youth development, environmental and economic impacts.
The equipment was designed to fit seamlessly into space which is near other park elements such as the walking track or path like the one surrounding Buddy Holly Lake, at North University and Cesar E. Chavez Drive. In this case, the equipment is lakeside, by a cluster of trees. We hope that you will make time to experience our commitment to your good health. For all ages, and, it's FREE!
