Join the 7th Annual Lubbock Veteran’s Day Parade an event, designed to pay tribute to veterans and all that have served in Lubbock. Veteran's Day is November 11 in all states and is usually observed as a state holiday and a federal holiday. This event is for veterans and their families and the city of Lubbock, to bring the community and region together. SAVE THE DATE - The parade will occur on November 5, 2022.

The 2022 theme is: “You are Not Alone!" – Veterans are at 57% higher risk of suicide than those who haven't served. Daily about 20 Veterans commit suicide. We remind them that they are not alone! Participants are encouraged to pay tribute to veterans and the men and women who serve in the U.S. armed forces who represented the best America has to offer, volunteering to put themselves in harm’s way to serve and protect the nation. Veterans, family members, marching bands to floats, etc. are encouraged to be included.

The 2022 Grand Marshall  Danny Koch! The Purple Hearts 0900 & Los Hermanos Familia are proud to announce that this year's Grand Marshall is Danny Koch who has advocated for Veterans. He honors Purple Heart heroes who’ve been wounded or killed, as well as Gold Star families who lost a soldier.

Koch shares these stories because his own son was wounded in Iraq. His son, Paul, was in Iraq between 2006 and 2007. While Paul was in The Triangle of Death, he was hit by an Improvised Explosive Device. In addition, he has brought awareness to the growing concern of Veteran PTSD and suicide. Please join us to honor Danny Koch!
